There was a time when you could bring your car to your local repair shop without fear of being ripped off.
Untrained and unscrupulous people working inside many of the discount quick-lubes, “chain store” brake shops, and dealership conglomerates have spoiled the reputations of everyone in the repair industry…even the honest, customer service-oriented independent shops!
The Monday Morning Mechanic persona is part of my attempt to help people trust their neighbors again.
Repair shops should be concerned with helping to educate their community, not selling un-needed services. We have an obligation to treat everyone as we would our own grandmother, from the time they walk into a shop through the rest of their driving years.
